We wanted to help change that. And in Las Vegas, we found an opportunity to do so.
Innovating Education in Las Vegas’ Westside
Nevada Partners, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the most vulnerable people in Las Vegas’ historic Westside, had received a grant from the Nevada government. Their mission: to equip high school students with the necessary skills for high-demand tech and graphic design jobs.
But despite their clear goals, they faced considerable hurdles. Delivering effective education and accurately tracking student engagement proved to be a challenge.
With a plan to broaden their impact through online education, Nevada Partners quickly realized they needed help. For one thing, they were struggling with low and untrackable engagement levels. They also wanted to make learning more motivating and dynamic through gamification – but they found themselves without a platform that could provide granular data to convert into reward tokens for students.

Nevada Partners didn’t let their newfound talents go unnoticed. They provided the students with opportunities to work on real-world projects, enabling them to earn their own income while still in school.
These students’ journeys illustrate the power of personalized, data-driven education. Learning effectively is one thing – but they were also able to excel and translate their skills into tangible success in the workforce.
